1. Comment to this post with the name of a character that I write in fic or RP.
2. I will comment telling you the following:

a. What initially prompted me to like the character enough to write about him/her.
b. One of his/her best traits.
c. One of his/her worst traits.
d. How easy/difficult I find it to write the character.
e. The story/chapter/paragraph/phrase where I feel that I truly captured the character.
f. My plans (if any) to write the character in the near future.

Lucia. (Although some sick part of me wants to say Ishmael, but you haven't written that yet, HAVE YOU?)

a. Hm, I haven't really written much with Lucia, but from the moment I created Isolde I was very sure what her mother would be like (you'll note that in Isolde's crappy old app I do mention Lucia - unlike Saul, poor bastard), partly because I knew the kind of interaction Isolde needed. Despite that I like her as a character in of herself. A lot of my characters are very big on having guilt complexes and effed up loyalties, whereas Lucia doesn't give a shit about any of that and that's a fun change.

b. Best trait. Hm. Her handling of her powers, particularly. I think a lot of Seers seem to be prone to collapsing in on themselves (excluding Merih, of course) and Lucia is very, very involved with reality and manipulating it to her heart's content. In a way she's actually very grounded, as weird as that is to say.

c. She's a horrible friend or family member, selfish to the nth degree, and more or less all the worst, callous traits of a child bundled up into an adult form. Her lack of empathy or conscience is probably not appreciated by anyone but her, I'm pretty sure.

d. I haven't written her a great deal, as I said, but in one sense she's not been that difficult to write - though of course she's had her moments. In another sense she's really damn difficult. Her total lack of humanity is hard for me to relate to at times, as much as I also enjoy it.

e. Hm. Let's go with: That was the thing about Saul: he liked to affirm the existence of things because very little that existed for a Seer existed for anyone else. Lucia preferred the more practical method of ripping things open to find the truth for herself. From this old, old fic here.

f. I've been planning to write something Isolde and Lucia for like forever; maybe oneday it will happen. ;)

(And you know I've written Ishmael. >.>)

Obvious route - KAMAEL

a. Kams probably had, like, the dorkiest basis ever. At the time I was really interested in Bhakti yoga and I was reading the Bhagavad Gita, and that led me to an interest in the whole concept of how the divine and the mortal relate; it was an easy thing to fall into, since I used to watch TV serials based on the Krishna Leela when I was teeny, which was all about Gods and their cute girlfriends and stuff. When I saw the option for an Angel of Joy in ANCD I was all over that - it really gave me the chance to see how I could take thos concepts and work them into a character. Radha is actually named after Radha in the Krishna Leela. And now you know how totally sad-ass I am. But anyway.

b. How much faith she has in the world and in people, hands down. She really does believe things will turn out for the best, but she's (hopefully) not irritating and zealous about it. Her faith underlies everything she does without being forced or overt.

c. The way she's such a total introvert. A lot of her problems with people could be solved by actually communicating with others and telling them how she feels about them. Instead she just blinks blankly and makes everyone feel unloved!

d. I used to find Kamael really difficult to write, actually. I just couldn't get a good handle on her half the time - there was a real gap between what I expected her to do and what she blithely went off and did. But that's actually a lot, lot better now, especially since we started our MD story. I really find that she comes easily now. Perhaps we've come to an understanding LOL.

e. This is a hard one. Late Nights shows a lot of how Radha is in MD, but the second person tense fic I showed you probably captures far more about who she is inside. I uh, probably need to post that someday. XD

f. Hellz yes I'm writing her more. I want to finish some more MD stuff, and write some more fics. Kams is sticking around. <3

a. When I put Kamael into Pontiff's Wing I realised she had to have some sprogs, and I wanted her to have one boy, at least - hence Nessy. Originally I wanted him to be the one who was at first glance most like Kamael, but inwardly far more capable and smug and crazy. This has changed a bit since then - I think his development was possibly influenced a bit too much by the amount of fashion photography I went through: images that were quirky and strange but sort of remote, which is a description that fits Nessy pretty well too. XD

b. His best trait is his stubborn sense of duty. When he commits to something - people or causes or wearing stupid shirts - he'll stick with it and carry it through even though some part of him may not always want to.

c. He's got a huge, stupid guilt complex: everything that goes wrong is his fault somehow, he should have done better or tried harder. This has pretty much emotionally stunted him over the years.

d. Despite writing very little, I know Nes isn't too bad in this department - he's pretty easy for me to understand, and writing him just flows easily.

e. I haven't done as much with Nes as I should have, but I think I captured him pretty well in Once which is here.

f. I WANT TO WRITE LOTS. Especially with his family for starters, just to establish those interactions.

a. I think I was still entirely obsessed with the manga Angel Sanctuary when I made Hope. Liz and I were trying to come up with some characters we could connect (this was pretty soon after I first joined the game), and I was being thoroughly miffed at the dislike of a certain female character in the manga - disliking a character for being too loving and not very clever wasn't on in my books, so I wanted to try the concept myself and see if it could work without resulting in people killing me. I don't think they wanted to, or at least I hope (lolz) XD.

b. Hope loves people from the bottom of her 'ickle sugar-coated heart. She's always more than willing to see the best in people, to forgive, to empathise and cuddle and hand out stupid pet names to anyone who'll have one.

c. Her willing childishness. Hope could act more like an adult, but she's in a position where maturity and an awareness of the cruel things people can and will do would force her to make difficult and possibly immoral choices. She'd much rather just love and be loved without complications, so she continues to live blindly.

d. Oh man, Hope is possibly the easiest character to write I've ever had. She's so thoroughly uncomplicated and clear and I never have to worry where I'm going with her.

e. Sadly a lot of stuff I wrote with Hope when she was my strongest plot character is old old old and thus utterly awful on my part (how everyone I wrote with put up with it I do not know) and never allowed to see the light of day again. But hopefully I'll get to write her again soon and change that.

f. I totally want to write some more RP with her, especially with a certain person I am replying to right now. *cough*

Claudette!

a. It started a lot like this. Sage was all 'hey there's a really cool game about fairytales and hot prostitutes, wanna join, they need a cinderella' and I went 'oh awesome, sure.' And then I realised I had no idea what to do with Cinderella. I did not want to make an Usagi copy, for sure. So I tried to base Claudette on the concept of the dark side of the moon, on the not-so-nice side of the magical feminine, on the sharp-edged quality of glass and also on the whole concept of ashes and hearth, because I liked that. So, she's not very Usagi, but I like to think she makes a good total bitch. ♥

b. Her ambition to never, ever be a victim - it's one of the few things I find admirable about her. She hasn't dealt well with her upbringing by any means, but she has at least striven to overcome it rather than allowing it to break her.

c. LOOL where do I start. She's horribly callous. The only person who matters to Claudette is Claudette, though she'd probably consider that not so much selfish but rather, a matter of survival.

d. I need to write her more before I really know, but hey, she may not be easy but she's a LOT of fun to write. She's an awesome outlet for my inner PMS.

e. Our fic, of course. <333 It is still adorably awesomesauce.

f. OF COURSE. I want to write a ton of GesMa stuff with everyone.
